Sixteen photographs from a 72-hour layover in Shanghai, May 2013. Narrow alleys in the old city, the haze-wrapped Bund at dusk, and the restaurants a local friend knew by heart — Yang's for fried dumplings, Lao Wang for hot pot, Din Tai Fung the next afternoon.
