Brunch at SlowClub
February 24, 2008

Today we went for brunch at SlowClub, a first. We're big fans of SlowClub, home of the best french fries in San Francisco. Brunch was a big move as yesterday we didn't leave the house. We were supposed to hunkered down for DeathStorm 2008!, but alas the storm never came. We got some rain and a few high winds, but that was about it.

Anyway, brunch consisted of a fried egg & bacon sandwich, turkey & apple root has and a couple of biscuits. The place was packed and all the food looked amazing. Previously I had frequented Universal, at where we ate last Sunday. Universal is still one of my favorites, but lately its been a bit "off." Not sure why. Can't wait to try Serpentine, the new sister restaurant to SlowClub.

The rest of the day consisted of grocery shopping, then making dinner and watching the Oscar telecast. For the first time in years, I have seen NONE of the nominated films, but was able to predict the winners with surprising accuracy. John came by for ribeyes, and for the first time ever, I saw John leave with leftovers.
