Lots of sales going on in San Francisco. January is typically the slowest retail month of the year, not surprisingly. Deep discounts clear inventories and make for good bargains. As such, went to Macy's and got new bedding (ah, the Hotel Collection), then went to Bloomingdale's where they were having unbelievable discounts on Le Creuset cookware; got a 4.5 quart cast-iron dutch oven, and finally picked up a new duvet from Bloomingdale's Home.

I did get chance to check out the new Blue Bottle Coffee cafe in SoMa. They have these amazing coffee contraptions that look like expensive science experiments, but they produce amazing coffee. Met up with Matt and went and looked at an over-priced, under-interesting condo at Mint Plaza. Blech. We did stop by Apple and saw the new MacBook Air.
