About me.

This is my personal website. It's been online since 1998 and I've been adding to it, on and off, ever since.

I take photos when I travel and post them here. Sometimes I write about the trips too, though not always quickly. The site has two purposes — keep the photos somewhere, and write a little about them. That's about it.

My name is Kris Koeller. I live in Manhattan with my wife Jessica. I work in retail, finance, and operations. None of that has anything to do with this site.

The current version of the site is a small Python app I built in 2025 to replace twenty-plus years of accumulated ColdFusion. Migrating the archive took longer than I expected. The new design followed about a year later.

I shoot a Leica M11 and a Sony A7R V. I make Manhattans with sweet vermouth and two cherries. I prefer slow trips to fast ones, and I'm almost always glad to be home.
