Late August in New York is pretty well known for its unbearable heat and humidity. By my measure, its not been too bad this year, but on occasion the weather has turned nasty and some of the afternoon thunderstorms have been quite dramatic
. Today was no exception, with a 4:00 storm blowing through bringing lots of ominous low clouds, lightning and quick but heavy rain. Once again, in the face of inclement weather, I ran to the roof with my camera and lightning rod-like tripod in hand.
