The Koellers are in Texas!

The Koellers, US Travel

Nearly everyone from my dad's side of the family is in Dallas this week to attend the memorial service for my late aunt Carol. The service was a loving tribute to Carol, and fitting to her great sense of humor, we all went out for a campy night of cowboy fun in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Its unfortunate that it takes a funeral to get everyone together, but we definitely made the most of it.

After dinner at the Cattlemen's Steakhouse, we all walked (sauntered, perhaps) over to Billy Bob's Texas, the largest honky-tonk in the world. It was a slow night, so we only stayed long enough for one beer, one dance and these terrific photos atop a prize steer.
