In March of this year, Jessica and I met up with our friends Lana and Dean for a weekend visit to Chicago. This was Jessica's first visit to Chicago, and my first since the late 90s. Not surprisingly, the weather in March was cold, windy and snowy, so not ideal for taking photos.
HDR can be a good option in tricky lighting conditions, and in this photo really makes the colors pop on an otherwise gloomy, overcast day. I took this photo of the Chicago River during one of our many walks. These are three hand-held, RAW frames processed in PhotoMatix, then sharpened and noise-reduced in Acorn.
