Summer Solstice Sunset in New York City

New York City, Timelapse, Video

Yesterday I went up to the roof to take some photos of the sunset on the longest day of the year. Sunset was at 8:30, and I got there around 8:20 but because of the clouds and the unsettled weather there wasn't much to see. The picture above is intended as an HDR, but it looked too crazy so I just stuck with a regular photo.

I also shot some frames for a timelapse, but they aren't very usable as there's a really annoying flicker as the camera kept adjusting the exposure settings. As many timelapse shots as I've done, I keep forgetting to put the camera in full manual mode so it doesn't make these adjustments. The shot is well-framed, and the clouds look nice but I'll need to try again to get the video right.
