HDR Photos from Napa Valley

Geekdom, HDR, Photography, US Travel, Wine

I took a few HDR photos in Napa last week.  Recall the process takes multiple photos of varying exposures and combines them in the computer to produce a notionally high fidelity image of the scene.  Its great for tricky lighting situations where the scene has many bright and dark spots.  Sometimes the results look quite natural, and sometimes they can look quite fantastic.  The more exotic HDR photos are not my taste, but its fun to play around with.  These turned out a bit hyper-real.

Typically you would use a tripod so the photos are perfectly aligned, but these were done handheld so you can see some ghosting and slight artifacts  from camera motion.
