The other day, with little fanfare, I unveiled a new website logo which I'm sure you'll instantly love.
I've been running kriskoeller.com
for the past 12 years, and its been a constant out-of-breath race to keep this website more relevant to this audience. You've seen this evolution through the introduction of Facebook integration, Twitter feeds, an RSS feed and mobile-optimized versions of the blog and photo pages.
A natural next step in this journey is to explore how the kriskoeller.com
logo can also evolve. Technology is changing, and I think evolving the website logo is part of aligning with that. I want my readers to see what kriskoeller.com
stands for today.
I chose this design as its more contemporary, yet still celebrates the "box" heritage I've used for years. Plus, the Helvetica font is freely available on any computer and I was able to crank this out in Keynote in about 5 minutes.
Given the passionate dialog this new logo will likely cause, I wanted to acknowledge the passion and loyalty kriskoeller.com
readers have shown, and to let them know that despite their outpouring of ideas, I'm the one that really knows best.
My corps of unpaid interns have toiled for years to bring you the best possible kriskoeller.com
experience, and now you can be part of the unpaid action as well by submitting your own kriskoeller.com logo idea.
I'll be sharing the specifics in a few days, but in the meantime please stew over this new logo and fear that if you don't do something better, this one will remain.
