Fun with HDR

HDR, Photography, Wine

High dynamic range photos were a big fad about two years ago.  They tend to produce pretty fantastic, overly saturated photos that are high on effect and low on realism. HDR can also be used carefully to salvage otherwise over or underexposed photos, or to simply add some effect as in this self-portrait taken in Sonoma. It does give me that weathered, aged look appropriate for a guy of my "prestige." I'm beta testing a new product called HDRMAX, which seems to be much better than PhotoMatix. However, its $150 so I'll have fun until the beta expires.
